Boats For Sale

I have a Lowe modified V jon boat for sale bought new last summer at Cabelas. The boat is in good condition, with only a few scratches and rubs on the paint from normal use. The 1440 means it is 14 feet long and 40 inches wide across the floor. The 1440 is a nice size as it is about the widest and most stable boat you can fit between the bedsides on a full-size pickup. I have installed three 12 volt outlets in the boat, 1 on a rib by the middle seat and 2 on the front deck for use with lighting or aerators. The boat has no leaks or dents. The boat weighs about 200lbs and has 4 handles so it is not difficult for 2 people to load or unload, and I have done it myself several times. I had the boat and motor out running on a nearby river 4-8-09 and everything ran perfect.

The motor is a 13hp Scavenger longtail backwater motor also bought new last year. It has a 13hp Honda motor with electric start, 10 amp alternator, and pull start back-up. This is the largest Honda they offer without adding the extra weight of a twin cylinder and losing the pull start backup. The motor has an integrated fuel tank and mounts with a pipe through a bracket on your transom so it is easy to take on and off without unclamping it from your boat. This motor has proven very reliable, I have had no issues with it since I have had it. I had fuel stabilizer in it last winter, and changed the oil this spring. It uses very little fuel, a 2 1/2 gallon can was all I ever needed to run 5 miles of river 3-4 times per night. The motor weighs about 120lbs and is very managable with 2 people. The boat and motor were used a couple dozen times last year on a nearby river and performed very well. I could run easily in 4-6" of water with 2 people and fishing gear. The boat runs about 12-15mph according to my GPS with one person and around 7 with 2 people and a load of fishing gear. It would make an excellent rig for anyone needing to put in without a ramp. I am selling to upgrade to a larger boat since my girlfriend has decided she likes to go fishing with me and the guys as well. The boat is for sale locally as well. This boat has not trailer, but can be hauled in the bed of a full size truck. The buyer will have to pick the boat up in person, and pay for the boat in cash upon pick-up. For Sale I have a 1969 Johnson 115 hp power head in running order with controls that includes a new throttle cable the engine fires right up and runs real nice. Can bring it to Minot in December to lower shipping costs if a friend south of the border is interested and will do everything I can to make this a smooth transaction. The lower leg was not drained and froze. So I don't have much hope there...argh but it goes into gear both forward and reverse just cracked all around the lower prop housing.
