A 10" minimum length limit and 20 daily creel limit for Crappie
A 18" minimum length limit for Wipers went into effect at this lake on January 1, 2005

Bluegill good using small jigs and minnows around the docks

Channel Catfish good using liver and worms in the outlet

Crappie fair using jigs and minnows in 6 to 15 feet of water

Striper No Report

Walleye fair using jigs and nightcrawler on the flats

White Bass fair using jigs over windblown rocky points

Wipers fair using jigs over the brushpiles

HILLSDALE RESERVOIR

Effective January 1, 2003 at Hillsdale Lake, Crappie less than 10" in length must be returned to the water.

Boat Ramp , courtesy dock and parking facility and new restroom has been completed
Over 250 brush piles were constructed
Approx. 500 Largemouth Bass 6-20" have been stocked. (They are expecting more to be stocked)

Big blues and flat heads biting on fresh cut shad, on the end of wing dykes and sharp bends on the river. The colder the better for the blue fishing.

Note:  You will need a state fishing license, a Wyandotte County fishing permit is also required.  The county fishing permits are available through the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and other selected vendors.
