A 10" minimum length limit and 20 daily creel limit for Crappie
A 18" minimum length limit for Wipers went into effect at this lake on January 1, 2005

Crappie slow using jigs around the docks

Walleye good using jig in the outlet

White Bass fair using small spinners and jigs off the rocky banks

Wiper No Report

Channel Catfish good using sunfish and shad in the outlet

Blue Catfish (14,000 shorts were stocked)

HILLSDALE RESERVOIR

Effective January 1, 2003 at Hillsdale Lake, Crappie less than 10" in length must be returned to the water.

Walleye Slow/Fair Crank baits or jig and night crawler combo over main lake points. Some anglers have reported catching good numbers of fish in the outlet.  

Largemouth Bass Slow Crank baits and soft plastic baits fished over rocky structure and around vegetation.  

Channel Catfish Good Cut bait on setlines fished along channel drops in the lake. Various baits under a bobber or off the bottom in the outlet.  

Crappie Fair Minnows for fish suspending over structure in 15 to 30 feet of water or over brush piles placed in 15 feet of water or deeper.

New lake record Blue Catfish of 41 lbs.

Catfish good in the river and at the upper end of the lake using cut bait
