Report by: Clint's Bait and Tackle

Hello out there. It's time to let you know what is going on with the fishing around here. So here goes what they all have been telling us lately.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Crappie--they had started coming into the shallower water in the last day or two at least twice a day and there was some nice ones being caught. But as you can understand we had a good rain last night so we don't know what that has done to their coming in. Before the rain minnows was the best bait to get them to hit. Granted some was being caught on jigs but the larger numbers was with minnows.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Walleye--they have been caught on the flats at the res and along the dam at the city lake. Nothing real big but 5 to 6 pounders seem to de the rule. Minnows, crawlers, and some jigs have worked rather well for getting this fish to hit.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Bass----the white bass have still been active around these waters so we have been told. The other types of bass have been active as well in the lakes and the river. Now they are saying the farm ponds are doing good as far as bass go also. Minnows and crawlers along with jigs and lures are working well.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Catfish--the channels are real active are there have been a goodly number of them being caught. from all reports the flatheads are start-to move some and that is good for the catfisher. Crawlers, perch, goldfish, and liver and shad parts are all good bait for about any of the catfish.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

We are open 7 days a week and have a full line of bait and tackle for your fishing needs. We also have the city permits for fishing and for your boat. Plus we have the state license. For fishing.
