Submitted By: Greg Lamb
Above Sailboat Bridge: muddy
Sailboat Bridge to Horse Creek: Muddy to stained
Horsecreek to the Dam: Stained to lightly stained
Water Temp: 60-66 degrees
lake level as of 5/3/04 is 746.68 and slowly falling. There is full generation and three small flood gates open.

Bass- The bass continue to bite despite all the water fluctuation, storm fronts, and large tournament pressure. This week the top baits have been the Hart Bleeding Series spinner bait, triple rattle back jig, and the Bomber 7A crank bait. The bass are being caught in all phases right now. There are fish still biting on the main lake and secondary points on crank baits and jigs. The bushes and flooded trash are producing a lot of quality fish as well. The boat docks have good fish gathering on them right now with the water on the fall.

Crappie- The shallow crappie have slowed some again due to the water conditions, but there are a lot of crappie being caught around the docks. The docks in the 8 - 20 ft ranges with brush or structure are holding good numbers of fish. Jigs in the chartreuse or white combos are being used the most. Minnows are the hottest bait this week.

White Bass- White bass have been really slow this week. There have been a few being caught around the Horse and Duck creek areas on small crank baits and Bangtail spinners.

Catfish- The catfish are doing well right now, as they have started moving shallower. Juggers continue to have good catches in and around the 15 ft depth on whole and cut shad.
