Water temp 52-59 degrees
Above Sailboat bridge- stained
Sailboat bridge to Horse Creek- lightly stained
Horse Creek to the dam- lightly stained

lake level as of 4/18/05 is 742.42, there is five units of generation and no flood gates are open.

Bass- The largemouth are starting to spawn in a few parts of the lake. The full moon is this Sunday, and the first big wave of spawning will be happening this week. Spinner baits and crankbaits are catching good numbers, and some size. With the bass moving shallow the drop baits are hot.

Crappie- It is confirmed! There are some crappie being caught in the 4 feet and less depth. The crappie that we are catching shallow are in Duck Creek, Honey Creek, and Woodard Hollow. The crappie are still staging around the docks preparing for the spawn, and they are biting like crazy! Grandpas jigs or minnows will work just fine.

Catfish- Cats are biting well all over. Juggers and liners continue to do well in the 8 to 15 foot depth on main lake points and canal swings.

White bass- They are catching some really nice white bass up the Spring and Neosho Rivers. The whites are being caught on the swallow sides of the channel swings.

Spoonbill (paddlefish)- There are some spoonbill still being snagged up both rivers right now trolling from boats. If we could just get another good rain, there would be a run to remember. The crappie hunters probably don't like the sounds of us wishing for rain, but I sure like catching those whipperbills!
