Above Sailboat bridge- lightly stained
Sailboat bridge to Horse Creek- lightly stained
Horse Creek to the dam- clear
lake level as of 5/17/05 is 743.3, there is no generation and no flood gates are
open.
Bass- The largemouth are in all stages of the spawn, from just starting to guarding fry. They are biting from the main lake points to the backs of coves. There are quality fish being caught shallow and deep, just go fish your strengths.
Crappie-The crappie are biting again! The docks are the hot spots right now, with the crappie still staging around the brush and structure. There are a lot of crappie that haven't spawn yet. Crappie are still being caught on jig and corks up shallow, but it is slowing down.
Catfish- Cats are biting well all over. The cats are moving up the rivers and biting well.
White bass- The white bass in the lake are starting to spawn on the gravel flats and points. Small crankbaits and Firecracker grubs are producing the best.
Drum- The Big drum are moving up the rivers as well. Cut shad and crawdads are the best baits. The bridge piers and deep canal swings are the areas with the larger schools of drum.
