I was out Monday, September 17 just after the sun broke the horizon. I put in at Crows Creek landing and trolled westward along the south side kinda playing while heading for a favorite spot when I started cathcing white bass...but it gets better. Out of nowhere I started hitting Crappie!!! 10-20 foot of water, about 6-8 feet down, I caught 8 in about 45 minutes, all between 1-2 pounds. I have caught the occasional one while trolling before, but never that many or of that size. Anyone else getting Crappie this way? I do not know what the lure is called. It is about 3" long with 2 trebles and connects mid lure, has no blades and is about 3/8" wide, shaped like a shad. The lure was a give-away gimmick from former employer.
