I have a 1975 Sears outboard (7 HP). My father had it since new and recently gave it to me. It sat in the garage and hasn't run in over 12 years. It was used probably 10 times and never had a problem before it was stored. I brought the motor to a outboard mechanic to tune it up and get it ready for the summer, but he said it is impossible to get parts (points, etc..) for it. Is this true? Would anyone have any idea as to where I can get parts or information about this motor. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
