Try another lake. I fished Longview exclusively for walleye 4 times last year and caught only 3. Tried everything: spinners, jigs, lindys, pulling plugs on planar boards, etc.. Maybe I was fishing during the wrong times (missed the spawn) but nothing would work. I suggest trying lakes in Kansas: Melvern, Marion, or Hillsdale. I've had good luck at all three. The report looks good at Marion so that's where I'm heading this weekend.
