I live close also and fish it a at least once a week. The crappie are plentifull but small. Usually not more than 10 inches. I seem to find them lately in about 30feet of water. At night you can find the white bass chasing the shad along the dam and river channels. Havent had much luck on anything else. Seems there is a bass tourn. every wed. night. You might check with them.
