Lake Level: Water Temperature: Lake Level: Water Temperature: Report date 07/01/05 Lake Elevation at Normal Pool : 600.20 Temperature: Mid 80'sOutflow: 990 cfs Level: 2.50 Low Report by Satterfield Guide Service The water temperature is in the low to mid 80's. The water is clear to slightly stained on the north end of the lake. The fishing still remains excellent on Lake Shelbyville even though the daily temperatures have been blazing hot into the 90's with little or no wind. We have been mainly fishing for white bass because most people that use our fishing guide service want lots of action and fish to go home with. The Lake Shelbyville white bass fishing is and has been excellent. We are still catching our fish using the same techniques mentioned in our last report - nothing has changed. The Largemouth bass fishing is still good. These fish are being caught deep and shallow on whatever your favorite bass bait might be. Crappie fishing remains slow which is typically normal for this time of the year. If you want to try to catch crappie, we have talked to some people catching theirs shallow 1-5 foot deep on the banks. Muskies are always active at this time of the year and can be caught deep and shallow. There have been many bass fisherman catching these fish while fishing for bass. Walleye fishing is good right now. Try using a jig and night crawler - the depth you need to fish can vary from day to day. We have caught quite a few nice walleye the past couple weeks while fishing for white bass with our 1 ounce Man-O-Lure jigging spoons! We had one that was 5 pounds! We still have some openings for Lake Shelbyville fishing guide trips available, so call us and book one soon! 217-774-2419 It looks like our weather is going to stay hot as is the fishing on Lake Shelbyville!
